Our August Deco Drinks event is at the beautiful Tupper & Reed in downtown Berkeley!

Located at 2271 Shattuck Ave, Tupper & Reed is in a historic Gothic Storybook brick building designed by William Yelland and dating back nearly 100 years. Taking their name from Tupper & Reed music, a Berkeley institution that occupied that space for 99 years, the spacious bar is filled with musical antiques, including a variety of early Victrolas that I fawn over every time I stop in.

Tupper & Reed shares owners with Local Edition, a great newspaper-themed bar downstairs in San Francisco’s Hearst Building that we visited a couple months back.

Join us this Friday evening for a handmade cocktail and all manner of conversation about the Bay Area’s rich musical heritage, and I’m sure more than a mention of our upcoming Gatsby Summer Afternoon, California’s biggest and best vintage event!
